  7.     When a rock band hits the big time in the U.S., chances
  8. are it'll pick up an award or two, plus the adoration of a slew
  9. of fans. But in Sweden a group can get what even Elvis
  10. couldn't: a minted stamp. The country will honor the pop duo
  11. Roxette in October on a stamp that depicts them in full
  12. rock-'n'-roll regalia. "I'm playing guitar and Marie's
  13. screaming," says Per Gessle of himself and Marie Fredriksson.
  14. Roxette has been a Swedish mainstay since 1986, but Americans
  15. now tuned in to their sound have made the single Joyride No. 1
  16. on the charts.
